27 Dresses ……

Well a slight exaggeration but I wanted to share the new dresses I have recently purchased.  The first one was a bargain from River Island at £12 in their sale.

Separately I also bought a New Look block colour clutch which also has a chain strap so can be used as shoulder or cross body bag.  But the colours match this dress perfectly. And to finish off this look are some gorgeous day-to-night ankle strap with ankle strap, block heel and platform.

My second dress was not such a bargain but I find it hard to get dresses that as well as feeling comfortable, also look good and this ticks all those boxes.  Plus it is a stretch fabric so has a lot of give in it and it is a beautiful bright blue and I love the neckline.

A few of my favourite things

So, I made a spontaneous shopping trip this afternoon with my daughter.  It was more to return an item that I didn’t suit but I purchased a pair of black denim shorts.  I seem to be obsessed with shorts at the minute.

I also had a shoe delivery today from New Look of these triple black strap chunky sandals which I’m loving at the minute.  I had to order a size 5 as I seem to have lost a shoe size since losing weight.  My partner thinks it’s a con to buy more shoes but I swear it’s true.

Thunder & Lightning

Wow what a thunder storm we has in the UK in the early hours of this morning. Needless to say I was very tired today. As the weather can’t seem to make up its mind I wasn’t too sure what to wear today so decided on black skinny jeggings with a Goldigga black and white Aztec pattern blouse. I teamed this with my New Look black gladiator wedge sandals.

Birthday Cake and Pimms

I went to see my niece and nephew today as it was their birthday.  Indulged in some cake and a few glasses of pimms.  As it was such a nice sunny day I thought I would take the opportunity to start trying out some holiday outfits.

I’m wearing some denim shorts and grey vest top, both from Primark with my New Look kimono and some sandals I’ve had for a few years from F&F.  Oh and my Oakley sunglasses.

I also did a spot of web surfing this morning and found some nice shoes on a website I’ve recently discovered called http://www.spylovebuy.com and in their sale I found the following boots.  I’ve been in love with this style of boot all winter but couldn’t find any suitable ones.  So I saw these today and bought them for the winter.  Mind you with the current weather not being able to make up its mind I might be wearing them sooner rather than later.

I also spotted some nice sandals on this website so may be returning before my holiday to purchase these, funds allowing.

Holiday Shopping Spree

I am so excited we’ve booked a last minute holiday and will be off to sunnier climes soon.  Can’t be soon enough judging by today’s weather.  As I have recently lost 2 stone I spent today sorting out my old holiday clothes and went on a mini shopping spree to replace them with a smaller size. Yay me!!!

The usual shops I gravitate towards are New Look and Dorothy Perkins but I found some nice pieces in H & M.  A couple of t-shirt beach dresses, a maxi dress with a slight dip hem and a pair of lace shorts.  I spent the afternoon trying out various accessories and this is the result.  The jewellery is from various shops, including New Look, River Island and Dorothy Perkins, which I already had. H & M have a holiday checklist on their website but I could only seem to see menswear, no womenswear!

I’ve also fallen in love with these chunky block heel sandals from StylistPick but can’t seem to find the white ones on their website anymore which I’m really disappointed about.  But the black will look great with my lace shorts and a coral top I recently bought. Mine are a size 6!

Retail Therapy

I did my favourite thing this weekend and went clothes shopping.  I bought a great pair of black wedge gladiator look sandals.  Although they were v high surprisingly they were comfortable to wear and my feet were not in bits by the end of the night.

I also purchased a couple of maxi dresses from Dorothy Perkins as they are easy to wear and great to throw on especially on a hot day like today.  I wore this peach coloured one with aztec print today with my silver Primark flip flops.
