I must admit I’ve been a little green with envy as my other half has just been on a boy’s skiing weekend. So in a bid to cheer myself up I have participated in a little retail therapy.
I bought some knee length black boots from
MandCo. They have gold buckle detail to the side and are quilted at the back with a small block heel. I also bought a sequin shift dress from Kaliko and will be wearing it on my birthday night out tonight. I have picked up a strapless black and white stripes dress from River Island which will be perfect for Ascot or my brothers wedding later this year.
And I found a few tops for work in the January sales from New Look and Dorothy Perkins. So all in all a very productive shopping trip and I must say I feel much better.
I just wanted to review an app called Mallzee. It is a personalised shopping app which you can filter to search for exactly what you are looking for. My daughter was looking for a particular style and colour of dress for a holiday this Thursday. Yes, as usual, it was left until the last minute but Mallzee saved us hours of trawling through internet websites. When you have found what you are looking for Mallzee takes you straight to the website of your chosen item to make your purchase. You can also save your choices for later and even ask your friends and family for their opinion before you make that final decision. Genius.
I had a rather manic weekend which started on Friday night having to rush to my step sons house as his girlfriend thought he had had his drink spiked on a night out. We eventually left the hospital at 5.30am.
Saturday I bought a couple of dresses in River Island and Dorothy Perkins. I rarely find dresses I like so when I do I tend to buy them for future occasions.
My first one is this animal print dress from River Island that was a bargain at £10 in their sale. I wore this with my black New Look gladiator wedge sandals and a gold oversize necklace.
