I must admit I’ve been a little green with envy as my other half has just been on a boy’s skiing weekend. So in a bid to cheer myself up I have participated in a little retail therapy.
I bought some knee length black boots from
MandCo. They have gold buckle detail to the side and are quilted at the back with a small block heel. I also bought a sequin shift dress from Kaliko and will be wearing it on my birthday night out tonight. I have picked up a strapless black and white stripes dress from River Island which will be perfect for Ascot or my brothers wedding later this year.
And I found a few tops for work in the January sales from New Look and Dorothy Perkins. So all in all a very productive shopping trip and I must say I feel much better.
Well a slight exaggeration but I wanted to share the new dresses I have recently purchased. The first one was a bargain from River Island at £12 in their sale.
Separately I also bought a New Look block colour clutch which also has a chain strap so can be used as shoulder or cross body bag. But the colours match this dress perfectly. And to finish off this look are some gorgeous day-to-night ankle strap with ankle strap, block heel and platform.
My second dress was not such a bargain but I find it hard to get dresses that as well as feeling comfortable, also look good and this ticks all those boxes. Plus it is a stretch fabric so has a lot of give in it and it is a beautiful bright blue and I love the neckline.
I went out shopping this weekend and bought a few more clothes for my holiday. Below you can see my purchases which I will be trying on over the next week and putting together some outfits for my holiday. Stayed tuned for some of my ideas which I hope you will like.
I met up with an old friend last night for a few drinks and a girly gossip. As the sun has been shining and it was still quite warm I wore my “other” new t-shirt Dorothy Perkins maxi dress I bought on my shopping spree at the weekend. This is plain navy but made more glamorous by the gorgeous side splits. It was really easy to wear and can be dressed up. I wore it with my old faithful Oasis denim jacket, which was a charity shop find, and a piece of statement jewellery.
I did my favourite thing this weekend and went clothes shopping. I bought a great pair of black wedge gladiator look sandals. Although they were v high surprisingly they were comfortable to wear and my feet were not in bits by the end of the night.
I also purchased a couple of maxi dresses from Dorothy Perkins as they are easy to wear and great to throw on especially on a hot day like today. I wore this peach coloured one with aztec print today with my silver Primark flip flops.
