I took a trip to MK last weekend and just had to stop off at Primark. I picked up these tops and boots whilst I was there all at bargain prices. You really can’t beat them but you do have to get there early or be prepared to rummage around to find the good items.
Apologies I haven’t posted anything for a while. I have been on holiday to Tenerife and then was away last weekend on a fitness weekend with some girl friends. And also I have broken my iPad and I feel lost without it. 😥
The big thing for AW 14 seems to be checks of all sizes and colours. I have my check blanket wrap which I have already posted a while ago but another recent purchase is this check longline jacket from New Look. I have worn mine with black leggings, a Primark black vest top, as it’s still quite warm and knee length black boots which were from George at Asda two years ago. I think they make really reasonable priced leather boots that last although I will probably need a new pair for this winter.
I cannot believe how quickly this week has gone. Anyway, I have two items that I have recently purchased and I am a little unsure as to how I actually feel about them. Now I don’t usually have that problem so I guess I know the answer already but any feedback would be appreciated.
The first is a pair of black and white spotted trousers from F&F which I do like but not sure if they are my style. The second is the balck/tan riding boots I bought from http://www.spylovebuy.com. I really like this style of boot but think these look a little cheap as they are noticeably not leather. Any thoughts or comments would be welcome.
I went to see my niece and nephew today as it was their birthday. Indulged in some cake and a few glasses of pimms. As it was such a nice sunny day I thought I would take the opportunity to start trying out some holiday outfits.
I’m wearing some denim shorts and grey vest top, both from Primark with my New Look kimono and some sandals I’ve had for a few years from F&F. Oh and my Oakley sunglasses.
I also did a spot of web surfing this morning and found some nice shoes on a website I’ve recently discovered called http://www.spylovebuy.com and in their sale I found the following boots. I’ve been in love with this style of boot all winter but couldn’t find any suitable ones. So I saw these today and bought them for the winter. Mind you with the current weather not being able to make up its mind I might be wearing them sooner rather than later.
I also spotted some nice sandals on this website so may be returning before my holiday to purchase these, funds allowing.
I had a girls weekend away this bank holiday at Butlins in Minehead. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised as I had heard some really bad reviews from various sources. Although still very basic they have recently renovated the accommodation and although not 5 star you get what you pay for. I was very disappointed that there was no free wifi, other than 15 consecutive minutes per day, you had to pay for it if you wanted longer. I was not prepared to do this as it would not cost Butlins anymore if they were already giving me free minutes. Plus I had already paid for my stay.
The weather was not good and it rained all weekend so boots were the order of the day, every day. I wore my New Look Chelsea boots with a block heel which are not too high and they took me from day to night, with a bit of glamming up of my different outfits depending on the occasion.
Our first night out I wore my F&F black skinny jeans with my boots, a grey t-shirt top with black chiffon front, my silver oversized rope necklace and my River Island black biker jacket.
Saturday was another rainy day so jeans and boots were donned again. F&F blue skinny jeggings with a Izabel floral jumper from Dorothy Perkins and my brown New Look ankle boots that were a real bargain at £3 during a recent sale. I forgot to take. A picture so have recreated this look today for blogging purposes.
Saturday night I wore my H&M leggings with the imitation leather fronts, a M&S black vest top (another charity shop purchase), my black leather River Island jacket and my black New Look Chelsea boots. I love going out in all black as I feel a lot more confident and have a better night. I know it’s psychological but who cares if it works. I haven’t got any pictures of this outfit but you have already seen the boots and jacket and here are the leggings and vest top separately.
