I’ve had a splurge on buying woolly jumpers for the cold weather we have been having in the UK of late. And if the weather forecast is anything to go by it is likely to get worse.
These jumpers are from various shops, New Look, FandF, Primark, TKMaxx by GingerG and Brave Soul and are all very different and range from plain to patterned to number logos. They can also be worn casually for a last minute shopping trip or glammed up with a skirt and knee high boots or some accessories for a night out.
You may remember a post from a few months ago where I wasn’t particualrly impressed with Apple as I had an iPhone 4S which, after the IOS 7 update back in July, would no longer connect to the internet. Apple denied all responsibility and I was left with a phone which I couldn’t use wifi on. This isn’t too much of an issue in the UK, apart from the annoyance factor, in that I’ve purchased a phone with a 24 month contract which I can no longer use effectively 18 months in.
After numerous conversations with Apple and my service provider T-Mobile I managed to get an early upgradeto EE, with the fee waived, to an iPhone 6. Initially I wanted an iPhone 6 Plus but having looked at them in the shop they are huge and not practical for someone with small hands to hold, let alone navigate around the screens.
I had my new phone a few days when I wanted to take a picture, which you can do from the lock screen using the camera icon in the bottom right hand corner. Not on mine you can’t! So online I go again and find several other people experiencing the same issue. Various things have worked to restore this function and mine worked by erasing all the content and taking the phone back to the factory settings and restoring it from a previous back up.
So expect a few more pictures popping up here, there and everywhere as I test it out.
I took a trip to MK last weekend and just had to stop off at Primark. I picked up these tops and boots whilst I was there all at bargain prices. You really can’t beat them but you do have to get there early or be prepared to rummage around to find the good items.
I’m loving a bit of jewellery at the minute, in particular stack rings, midi rings in fact any ring. And in gold or silver. I also bought these earrings for a bargain £1.50 from Primark at the weekend. I haven’t quite got enough piercings in my ears to wear them all but I gave it a good try.
My most recent expensive indulgence was this Michael Kors, seems to be the designer of the moment, rose gold watch in duty free on my holiday to Tenerife. I really like this colour as it makes a change from gold and silver. I think some outfits looks better with yellow or rose gold as opposed to silver and I am very anal about matching my jewellery to my outfit in so far as if my sandals/shoes have good buckles I have to wear gold accessories.
I just wanted to review an app called Mallzee. It is a personalised shopping app which you can filter to search for exactly what you are looking for. My daughter was looking for a particular style and colour of dress for a holiday this Thursday. Yes, as usual, it was left until the last minute but Mallzee saved us hours of trawling through internet websites. When you have found what you are looking for Mallzee takes you straight to the website of your chosen item to make your purchase. You can also save your choices for later and even ask your friends and family for their opinion before you make that final decision. Genius.
Apologies I haven’t posted anything for a while. I have been on holiday to Tenerife and then was away last weekend on a fitness weekend with some girl friends. And also I have broken my iPad and I feel lost without it. 😥
The big thing for AW 14 seems to be checks of all sizes and colours. I have my check blanket wrap which I have already posted a while ago but another recent purchase is this check longline jacket from New Look. I have worn mine with black leggings, a Primark black vest top, as it’s still quite warm and knee length black boots which were from George at Asda two years ago. I think they make really reasonable priced leather boots that last although I will probably need a new pair for this winter.
I was feeling the mulberry vibe yesterday and wanted to try out my new blanket wrap which I’m loving for this autumn / winter. They are so versatile and will be great for those upcoming Halloween and Bonfire night parties and will keep you nice and cosy when you are stood outside in the cold night air. Mine is a tartan wrap p, which I will link below, but there are a whole host of colours and styles available in the high street.
I have teamed mine with black skinny jeans from H&M with a small turn up and black New Look Chelsea boots. My mulberry coloured chiffon blouse, again New Look, and a black and mulberry Primark handbag.
Check out these beauties I bought today £12.99 from New Look. They seem to be my shop of choice at the minute. They are black with a mock croc effect. I’m wearing these with my H&M black skinny jeggings that I have turned up slightly and a leopard print tee again from, yes you’ve guessed it, New Look.
So, I have been off work for the last week, allegedly to do some jobs in the house but I have ended up here, there and everywhere and doing anything but decorating. I was in Lakeside shopping centre on Monday, France and Belgium Wednesday and London on Friday. I managed to squeeze some shopping in and will share my purchases with you all over the course of the coming days.
My first outfit which I wore last night to dinner for a friends birthday was a pair of khaki green jeggings fron H & M, I’m loving this colour for autumn and think it looks great with black. So I wore these with a black chiffon blouse with a gold exposed zip from Primark and a bargain pair of Chelsea shoe boots from New Look.
I’m also lusting after a pair of trainers as they are the big look for this autumn winter worn with anything. I have spent the whole week trying to find a pair I like and have found a great pair of Adidas ZX 700 Contemps which are jazzed up with a little animal print. These and other cool designs can be found at http://www.adidas.co.uk
What a horrible day it was Sunday, raining all day long. I had to go out and run a few errands but had to dress for winter. I wore some knee length brown boots from StylistPick.co.uk with jeggings and casual t-shirt and to try and keep the rain off I wore a blue quilted jacket by Glamorous which was a charity shop find. I almost look country chic.
I had a browse through the Glamorous website and found a few items I’ve added to my wish list. You can find them at http://www.glamorous.com or follow on twitter @ukglamorous
